DRY FLY Ultimate Water Shedding Snapback Fly-Fishing Cap with Waterproof Magnetic Fly Post
The Dry Fly Magnet Hat is everything you will want in a fly fishing hat… plus it has a built in magnet that will hold a few of your favorite flies while you are on the water. It has a classic shape and design with a breathable back and adjustable snap closure. A slightly curved brim and a medium height crown. The hat’s structure is definitely a step up from the old “Dad hat” but not too steep. The bottom of the brim is black to reduce glare reflecting up off the water. The sweat band is also black to avoid discoloration and ever looking dirty. The branding on the crown is subtle, but clearing answering the question of your fly preference. Dry Fly branding on the inside tape and on a small tag on the back left.
We hope you love this hat and that it becomes your new lucky fishing hat.
Inspiration - Flies on Hats
Ever hook one of your favorite flies to the velcro-like patch on your pack only to find that it has disappeared when you go to retrieve it on your line, especially if it had a barbless hook? It is usually right when the fish you have been watching is rising and you are sure it will take that exact pattern. It happens. It has happened to me. It is tempting to hook flies to your hat. I have done it with regret as I yank it out of the hat only to find that the barb is not completely crushed and it pulls broken thread out of the new hole in the brim. I like the idea of the A River Runs Through It Fedora with all the flies in the band, but find myself drawn more to a baseball cap style. SO, how do we get a couple flies easily and safely stored on a hat until needed, without tearing it up? Introducing the Dry Fly Magnet Hat - founder, Marc Strang
